Submission Theme


Hangeul in your daily Life
- Photos and videos related to Hangeul taken yourself in 2025.

- Photos and Videos of people learning Hangeul, Hangeul artwork, Hangeul signboards and products (clothing, accessories, etc.) and encountering Hangeul outside of Korea, and so on.

- Hangeul discovered in surrounding architecture and various environments.

Submission Schedule



Application Period
From June 4, 2025, to July 31, 2025, until 24:00. (Korean Standard Time.)


Announcement of Results
Results are scheduled to be announced in mid-September 2025.

* The result will no notified through the official website of the contest and individual contact.



Award Ceremony
October 9, 2025, on Hangeul Day.




Common Guidelines for Photos and Videos



  • Entries that have previously won awards in other contests, plagiarized works, works similar to past winning entries, or those with altered metadata (e.g., date, device) will be disqualified. This applies even after selection and may result in cancellation of the award. All legal responsibilities regarding copyright, portrait rights, and related matters lie with the applicant. The National Hangeul Museum does not assume any legal liability and does not claim ownership of submitted works.

  • Each applicant may submit up to three entries per category. Multiple awards are possible if submitted in different categories.
  • All types of cameras, including DSLRs, smartphones, and tablets, are permitted.
  • * If selected, winners may be required to submit high-resolution files for exhibition display.

  • Submitted works must have been taken between January 1, 2025 and the contest deadline.

  • Guidelines on photo editing and compositing can be found in the FAQ section on the official website.

  • The metadata (e.g., shooting date) of photos must be verifiable.

  • Before submitting, ensure that the applicant’s name and the title of the work are correctly entered on the application form.
